Can I import from my existing accounting software?
Yes. For common desktop accounting applications we provide an import tool and consultant support — including chart of accounts mapping, opening balances, and open journal transfer. Migration typically takes 1–2 weeks.
Can I use it offline?
Abacus is cloud SaaS and requires an internet connection. In PWA mode you can view cached recent reports offline; data entered offline syncs automatically when reconnected.
Is cloud storage secure?
Data is stored with AES-256 encryption in Taiwan data centres, with multi-tenant physical isolation and daily off-site backup. SSO + MFA login and a full audit trail on every action.
Can multiple people use it simultaneously?
Yes. Native multi-user, multi-device collaboration with full permission control — from ledger and module level down to individual field read/write access.
Is on-premise deployment available?
For large enterprises or organisations with data sovereignty requirements, we offer on-premise / private cloud deployment. Contact us to assess the right option.
Is there an API for integrating with other software?
Yes. Abacus provides REST API and Webhooks for connecting with ERP, CRM, e-invoice services, and bank Open APIs. Documentation and a sandbox environment are included.
